Import mode

When using Connectors you have the option to ingest files of various types. Text documents, PDFs, images, audio files, and video files, and more are all supported.

The import mode setting for connectors decides both whether or not to ingest documents and how to process them.

Static

This is for all non audio/video files such as PDFs and text documents.

Options

• None: do not ingest any non audio/video files.
• Fast: only extract text. Don't extract images or tables. This can be up to 20x faster than Hi-res
• Hi-res: extract text, images and tables. Slower than fast, but gets more data. This mainly applies to PDFs.

Audio

This is for all audio specific file formats.

Options

• On: Ingest audio files and transcribe them.
• Off: do not ingest audio files.

Video

This is for all video specific file formats.

Options

• None: do not ingest video files
• Audio: only process the audio part of videos and transcribe them.
• Video: only process the visual part of videos.
• Audio and Video: process both the audio and video parts of videos
